Azure DevOps Engineer (6 +Years) – BSS Platforms (Ops/Architecture Exposure).
Azure DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on experience on Azure DevOps to build, automate, and operate scalable delivery pipelines and runtime platforms for enterprise applications, with exposure to supporting BSS (Business Support Systems) environments. This role requires hands-on experience in Git (branching strategies), Azure DevOps.
Key Responsibilities (DevOps-Focused)
Build and maintain Azure DevOps for automated build, test, and deployment; improve pipeline reliability and speed.
Own Git workflows including branching strategy (e.g., GitFlow/trunk-based), code reviews, merge controls, tagging, and release/versioning practices.
Implement DevSecOps controls: secrets management, vulnerability scanning, secure baselines, patching.
Establish monitoring/logging/alerting and incident response practices to reduce MTTR; maintain runbooks and dashboards.
Collaborate with application teams to improve release strategies (blue/green, canary) and production stability; participate in on-call support.
Required Experience / Skills
- 6 years in Azure DevOps/Platform/SRE roles supporting production systems.
- Strong experience with Git and branching/release strategies.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (pipeline creation, shared libraries, credentials, agents/executors).
- Experience with Linux administration and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on scripting/automation (Python/Shell).
Added Advantage (Nice to Have)
- Exposure to BSS application environments (BRM, PDC) and enterprise integration patterns (REST/SOAP, MQ/Kafka).
- Cloud exposure (Azure), artifact repos (Nexus/JFrog/Artifactory), build quality gates (Sonarqube, SonarType, Flawfinder,).
