Role Description
Hookstep is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented DevOps Engineer for a full-time, on-site role based in Punjab, India. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation pipelines, monitoring and scaling infrastructure, and ensuring high availability of services. This role will work closely with development and operations teams to streamline workflows, ensure system reliability, and foster efficient deployment methodologies. The role also involves troubleshooting technical issues, optimizing performance, and ensuring compliance with industry best practices in security and scalability.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Strong skills in CI/CD tools and processes, including Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Expertise in containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Splunk.
- Experience in scripting and automation using languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Knowledge of distributed systems, scalability practices, and performance tuning.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience implementing security best practices in DevOps processes is a bonus.
