About the Role
We are building a structured early childhood ecosystem for children aged 0–3 years — combining developmental tracking, parent education, coaching, and guided home environments.
We are looking for a Developmental Psychologist to anchor the social-emotional, cognitive, behavioral, and attachment frameworks within the platform.
This is not a therapy-only role.
This is a systems + parent translation + early detection role.
Key Responsibilities
1. Developmental Framework Design
- Build and refine age-wise developmental maps (cognitive, language, executive function, emotional regulation).
- Align with global research and screening standards such as:
- American Psychological Association guidance on child development
- World Health Organization early childhood development indicators
- UNICEF nurturing care framework
- Design red-flag indicators for early social-emotional and behavioral concerns.
2. Parent Education & Content
- Co-create structured modules on:
- Emotional regulation (0–3)
- Attachment patterns in infancy
- Toddler behavior and boundary setting
- Early signs of neurodevelopmental differences
- Translate complex theories (e.g., Piaget, Vygotsky, attachment science) into practical parent guidance.
- Review scripts for psychological accuracy and tone.
3. Case Review & Escalation Protocols
- Develop decision trees for:
- When behavior is developmentally appropriate
- When coaching is sufficient
- When referral is needed (OT, speech, developmental pediatrics, etc.)
- Provide periodic case supervision to child development coaches.
4. Behavioral & Emotional Data Systems
- Help structure:
- Parent-report behavioral tracking
- Emotional trend insights
- Risk-detection logic
- Guide ethical AI use in behavioral interpretation (avoid over-diagnosis).
Ideal Candidate
- M.Phil / PhD in Developmental Psychology / Clinical Psychology
- Strong grounding in early childhood (0–3 preferred, 0–6 acceptable)
- Experience with developmental assessment tools such as:
- Ages and Stages Questionnaires
- Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development
- Comfortable working with structured digital ecosystems
- Balanced clinical lens — avoids alarmism, supports informed observation
Good to Have
- Experience in early intervention settings
- Exposure to neurodiversity-affirming frameworks
- Experience working with urban working parents (high cognitive load families)
- Public speaking / workshop facilitation
What This Role Is Not
- Not long-term psychotherapy practice
- Not a diagnosis factory
- Not a school counselor role
- Not generic parenting advice
Impact
- Shape how emotional development is understood in the first three years
- Prevent mislabeling of normal toddler behavior
- Enable earlier, calmer identification of developmental differences
- Build a psychologically grounded 0–3 ecosystem at scale
