About the Role
We are building a 360-degree early childhood development platform supporting families of children aged 0–3 years through structured learning modules, coaching, digital tracking, and guided home environments.
We are looking for a Developmental Pediatrician to anchor clinical accuracy, strengthen developmental screening frameworks, and guide intervention pathways for families requiring deeper support.
This is not a routine OPD role.
This is a systems-building, parent-facing, and protocol-design role.
Key Responsibilities
1. Developmental Framework & Screening
- Review and validate milestone frameworks aligned with:
- World Health Organization (WHO developmental indicators)
- UNICEF early childhood guidance
- American Academy of Pediatrics surveillance guidelines
- Strengthen red-flag identification protocols (motor, language, social-emotional, sensory).
- Guide referral pathways (speech therapy, OT, physiotherapy, neurology, etc.)
2. Parent-Facing Education
- Conduct structured live sessions for parents (sleep, feeding, motor delays, screen exposure, regulation).
- Co-create video modules on:
- Early brain development
- When to worry vs when to observe
- Understanding “late bloomer” vs developmental delay
- Review scripts for medical accuracy (non-clinical, parent-friendly tone).
3. Case Review & Escalation Support
- Offer periodic review of flagged developmental cases.
- Design decision trees for escalation:
- Monitor
- Home program
- Specialist referral
- Support child development coaches with supervision guidelines.
4. Systems & AI Integration (High-Leverage Role)
- Help structure:
- Developmental data inputs
- Red flag logic
- Escalation thresholds
- Contribute to building a structured knowledge base for AI-assisted parent guidance (without replacing medical judgment).
Ideal Candidate
- MD/DNB Pediatrics with Fellowship in Developmental Pediatrics
- Experience in early intervention / high-risk infant follow-up
- Comfortable working with digital platforms
- Balanced thinker: avoids over-pathologizing, yet clear on early detection
- Strong communication skills — can translate medical nuance into parent-friendly language
Good to Have
- Experience with tools such as:
- Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development
- Ages and Stages Questionnaires
- Exposure to neurodiversity-affirming frameworks
- Prior teaching or content creation experience
What This Role Is Not
- Not a hospital OPD role
- Not emergency pediatrics
- Not vaccination-only practice
- Not a high-volume consultation treadmill
