Overview
We are seeking a contractor to internal cloud infrastructure initiatives across multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP). You will be part of a platform team that ensures secure, scalable, and automated cloud environments are readily available to project and development teams. This role involves a mix of infrastructure-as-code development, day-to-day operational support (service requests and incident management), and enabling the adoption of modern AI-powered development tools (such as Cursor, Replit, V0, and Claude Code) within the enterprise environment.
Work Schedule: This role requires working aligned with US Eastern Time (EST/EDT). For India-based candidates, this translates to a late shift starting at approximately 5:30 PM IST. Candidates must be comfortable with and committed to this schedule.
WHAT YOU LL DOService Requests & Incident Management
Serve as a frontline engineer for cloud infrastructure service requests, including environment provisioning, access management, configuration changes, and resource scaling.
Respond to and resolve incidents related to cloud infrastructure, application deployments, and platform services within defined SLA/SLO targets.
Triage, troubleshoot, and escalate issues across Azure, AWS, or GCP environments, working with cross-functional teams to drive resolution.
Document incident root causes, resolution steps, and contribute to knowledge base articles to reduce repeat issues.
Track and report on service request volumes, resolution times, and incident trends as part of ongoing operational metrics. Cloud Infrastructure & Terraform
Write, maintain, and improve Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform as the primary tool for cloud environment management.
Build and manage reusable Terraform modules, configurations, and state management strategies for multi-cloud deployments.
Support the provisioning and management of cloud environments through Terraform and GitHub-based CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions).
Collaborate with senior engineers to implement infrastructure changes, environment setups, and cloud service integrations following established patterns and standards.
Assist in maintaining cloud security, IAM policies, networking configurations, and resource tagging/billing practices. AI Development Tool Support & App Migration
Support the adoption and day-to-day operational needs of AI-powered development tools including Cursor, Replit, V0, Claude Code, and similar platforms within the enterprise environment.
Assist developers in migrating applications and prototypes built using AI tools (e.g., Replit apps, V0-generated frontends, Claude Code outputs) into production-ready cloud infrastructure with proper CI/CD, monitoring, and security controls.
Help develop standardized deployment templates, pipelines, and runbooks for onboarding AI-tool-generated applications to cloud platforms (Azure Container Apps, App Service, etc.).
Provide hands-on support to teams transitioning from rapid AI-assisted prototyping to production-grade cloud deployments. ABOUT YOURequired
Professional, hands-on experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (hard requirement).
3-5 years of cloud engineering experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, SRE, or automation-focused roles.
Working knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP also accepted).
Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and operational tasks.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred) and version control workflows (Git).
Experience handling service requests and incidents in an ITSM framework (ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems).
Basic understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security best practices, and resource management.
Strong communication skills for documentation, incident updates, and cross-team collaboration.
Willingness to work US Eastern Time (EST/EDT) hours approximately 5:30 PM-2:30 AM IST for India-based candidates. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
