Key responsibilities:
- 3+ years of strong, hands-on experience debugging Node.js solutions in cloud database environment with focus on database operations, infrastructure automation, query debugging, code analysis, and maintenance.
- 3+ years of relevant experience working with cloud MongoDB Atlas – this is a key requirement for the cloud database administration component of the role.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages, with Node.js as the primary language (along with Bash or Go as secondary). Candidates must demonstrate the ability to debug code, analyze queries and build reliable automation related applications e.g.: screen to monitor index usage
- Experience with fully managed databases administration (MongoDB Atlas, Clickhouse, Firestore) and/or distributed cloud analytics engines such as Elasticsearch (Elastic Cloud) and caching solutions like Redis (Google Cloud Memorystore for Redis).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven track record of evangelizing technical best practices around databases and data platforms.
- Experience with monitoring and alerting systems such as Grafana or Prometheus.
- Familiarity with industry-standard operational practices (change management, incident management) and working in public clouds, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
