Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site DevOps role based in Palakkad. This role is for someone who can build and operate disciplined engineering infrastructure for a production-grade software system that includes API services, background workers, databases, object storage, monitoring, and CI/CD. You will be responsible for deployment pipelines, environment management, observability, reliability, rollback safety, and production operations. Daily work will include setting up and maintaining CI/CD, managing Linux-based infrastructure, containerized services, release workflows, logging/monitoring, backup and recovery checks, and working closely with developers to keep staging and production reliable, repeatable, and operationally honest. DevOps practice is fundamentally about delivering applications faster and more reliably through automation, collaboration, and operational discipline, and the role should be framed that way.
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux systems, Git, shell scripting, and production debugging
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and rollback-safe release workflows
- Practical experience with Docker and container-based environments; Kubernetes knowledge is useful but not mandatory
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, reverse proxies, TLS, secrets management, and environment configuration
- Experience setting up or maintaining observability systems such as logs, metrics, alerts, and uptime checks
- Good understanding of databases, object storage, networking basics, and infrastructure reliability
- Ability to work closely with backend and product engineers in a fast-moving startup and enforce operational discipline
- Clear communication, ownership mindset, and willingness to work on infrastructure that directly affects product reliability
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Preferred for this role
- Experience with CI/CD architecture for staging and production systems
- Exposure to infrastructure-as-code and cloud deployment patterns
- Familiarity with business continuity / disaster recovery thinking for delivery pipelines
- Prior work in a startup, SaaS, deep-tech, or data/AI product environment
