Role Description The Desktop Support Engineer & Printer Support Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru South. This role involves providing day-to-day technical support for desktop computers and printers, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades. The engineer will diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, perform routine troubleshooting, and ensure that devices and systems are functioning reliably for all users. Responsibilities include responding to support requests, documenting issues and resolutions, coordinating with vendors or senior technical teams when needed, and maintaining an organized inventory of hardware and peripherals. The role requires clear communication with internal stakeholders to minimize downtime and support a smooth operational environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess hands-on skills with desktop computers, including installation, configuration, and basic operating system support.
- Candidates should possess technical support and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve user issues efficiently.
- Candidates should possess printer support skills, including setup, maintenance, and resolution of common printer-related problems.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of computer hardware components and the ability to identify hardware faults and perform replacements.
- Relevant skills such as basic networking concepts, familiarity with ticketing systems, and experience in an IT helpdesk or support environment are beneficial.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work on-site in Bengaluru South with a customer-focused approach are required.
- A diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
