Role Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Desktop Support Engineer to manage end-user computing environments at client locations. The role involves providing advanced technical support, managing endpoint infrastructure, ensuring patch compliance, and acting as the primary interface between the client and IT support teams.

- Client Site Management
- Act as the primary IT point of contact at the client site
- Manage day-to-day IT operations and ensure SLA adherence
- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and client stakeholders
- Conduct regular reviews and status meetings with client teams
- Desktop and Endpoint Support
- Provide L2/L3 support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
- Troubleshoot hardware, OS, and application-related issues
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring incidents
- Ensure minimal downtime and high user satisfaction
- OS and Patch Management
- Manage Windows OS patching (Windows 10/11) using tools like Endpoint Central, SCCM, or Intune
- Monitor patch compliance and vulnerability remediation
- Perform patch testing, pilot rollout, and production deployment
- Handle patch failures, rollback, and troubleshooting
- Endpoint Security and Compliance
- Ensure endpoints are compliant with organizational security policies
- Manage antivirus, EDR tools, BitLocker, and endpoint hardening
- Perform regular audits and remediation activities
- Application and Software Management
- Install, configure, and upgrade enterprise applications
- Manage standard software packages and licensing compliance
- Support business-critical applications
- Incident, Problem & Change Management
- Manage incidents, service requests, and changes as per ITIL processes
- Ensure proper documentation and ticket updates
- Participate in change advisory board (CAB) discussions
- Asset and Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets
- Track asset lifecycle, warranty, and replacements
- Ensure proper documentation and tagging
- Automation and Improvement
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement
- Create scripts for routine activities (PowerShell, batch, etc.)
- Enhance user experience and reduce repetitive tasks
- Strong experience in Windows OS administration (Windows 10/11)
- Experience with patch management tools (Endpoint Central / SCCM / Intune)
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
- Hands-on experience with endpoint security tools (AV/EDR)
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Good understanding of network basics (LAN/WiFi, VPN)
- Scripting knowledge (PowerShell preferred)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage client expectations and escalations
- Leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Ability to work under pressure in a client-facing environment
