Role Description
We are seeking a full-time, on-site Desktop Support Engineer to join our team in Mumbai. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive IT support to ensure seamless daily operations. Tasks include troubleshooting hardware and software issues, configuring and installing desktop systems, managing system updates, and providing user support for technical issues. The Desktop Support Engineer will also assist with network connectivity setups, implement security best practices, and maintain documentation of IT processes and equipment inventory. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to resolve escalated issues will be a critical part of this role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in troubleshooting desktop hardware and software issues, including installation and configuration of operating systems.
- Knowledge of basic networking concepts, such as LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, and VPN troubleshooting.
- Strong skills in providing technical support, diagnosing technical glitches, and offering user-friendly solutions.
- Experience with maintaining and updating system configurations, performing regular software updates, and hardware replacement when necessary.
- Familiarity with IT security principles and best practices for safe device and network usage.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to providing timely and efficient technical support.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting IT processes and guiding users with clarity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are highly preferred.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
