- Role Overview
- We are looking for a skilled and proactive desktop support engineer to manage day-to-day IT support at the school. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on experience in desktop support, and exposure to data management tasks, including maintaining records, updating systems, and ensuring data accuracy.
- Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, projectors, and other IT equipment.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
- Install, configure, and update operating systems and application software.
- Manage user accounts, passwords, email access, and basic network settings.
- Support teachers and staff with day-to-day IT requirements.
- Maintain and update student, staff, and system-related data accurately.
- Assist in data entry, data verification, report preparation, and record maintenance.
- Ensure proper backup of important files and support data security practices.
- Coordinate with vendors or service providers for hardware repairs and AMC-related issues.
- Maintain IT inventory and report recurring technical issues.
- Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, and basic networking.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with printers, scanners, projectors, and attendance systems.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Hands-on experience in data management and record maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and support school operations smoothly.
- Preferred Experience
- 4+ years of desktop support or IT support experience.
- Experience in a school, educational institution, or office environment.
- Familiarity with data handling, MIS support, or database updating.
- Educational Qualification
- A graduate in computer science, IT, or a related field is preferred.
