Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Desktop Support Engineer located in Navi Mumbai. The Desktop Support Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support for desktop systems, responding to user inquiries, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and maintaining IT documentation. Additional responsibilities include installing and configuring software and hardware, performing regular system updates, and ensuring the security and performance of desktop environments.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, including knowledge of operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux) and common productivity software
- Experience in installing and configuring software and hardware, including peripherals
- Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN setup
- Understanding of IT security principles and practices, including antivirus software and data protection
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions to non-technical users
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or relevant certifications
- Experience in a similar support role is preferred
