Designer – Woven Fabrics & Home Textiles
CTC: Maximum CTC up to 50 K PM
Location: Tiruppur
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Designer – Woven Fabrics & Home Textiles to join our team. This role focuses on developing innovative, trend-driven designs while ensuring commercial viability and production feasibility.
What You’ll Do:
🔹 Design and develop woven fabrics and home textile products (bed linen, curtains, upholstery, table linen, kitchen textiles, decorative fabrics)
🔹 Create fabric concepts including weave structures, constructions, patterns, colorways, and textures
🔹 Develop mood boards, color palettes, and seasonal concepts aligned with customer briefs
🔹 Research global trends and translate them into commercially viable design ideas
🔹 Analyze customer preferences, competitor products, and market feedback
🔹 Work closely with sampling, weaving, dyeing, printing, and finishing teams for accurate execution
🔹 Prepare design specifications, artworks, weave diagrams, and technical sheets
🔹 Support lab dips, strike-offs, sample approvals, and design revisions
🔹 Participate in buyer meetings, presentations, and design discussions
🔹 Interpret buyer requirements including price targets and quality expectations
🔹 Ensure designs align with loom capabilities, yarn availability, and finishing processes
🔹 Collaborate with technical and costing teams to meet commercial targets
🔹 Maintain design records, version control, and sampling trackers
🔹 Ensure compliance with quality and sustainability standards
Qualifications:
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field
✔ Minimum 3–7 years of experience in woven fabric and home textile design (preferred)
✔ Strong knowledge of fabric constructions, weave structures, and textile development
✔ Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and relevant textile CAD software (e.g., NedGraphics, Textronics)
✔ Good understanding of weaving, dyeing, printing, and finishing processes
✔ Strong sense of color, pattern, and material trends
✔ Ability to translate concepts into commercially viable, production-ready designs
✔ Experience working with buyer briefs, sampling, and product development cycles
✔ Strong communication and collaboration skills
