Job Description
At IPS, we are global leaders in developing innovative solutions for the consulting, architecture, engineering, project controls, procurement, construction management, and CQV of technically complex facilities, primarily in the life sciences industry. We are looking for a talented
Mechanical Designer III to join our dedicated team at our office in Vikhroli, Mumbai.
Position Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver design & drafting activities for Mechanical, Clean/Black Utilities, and Piping systems in Life Science facilities.
- Prepare utility building, boiler house, gas bank, utility foundation, and internal/external piping layouts with sections.
- Calculate piping MTO.
- Prepare isometric drawings and nozzle orientation layouts.
- Independently coordinate with other disciplines for inputs.
- Review input drawings like civil structural pipe rack, civil foundation, RCP, and fire system layouts.
- Prepare insert plate, puddle flanges, and input drawings.
- Prepare utility pendent/pipe in pipe layouts, laboratory gases piping layout, process drain services layouts, and black and clean utilities generation, distribution P&IDs.
- Prepare clean utility piping.
- Fire protection system knowledge would be an added advantage.
- Develop and manage Revit models, families, templates, and clash resolution.
- Support engineers in vendor drawing reviews.
- Coordinate with Process, HVAC, Electrical, Civil/Arch teams for multidiscipline model accuracy.
- Autodesk Plant 3D would be an added advantage.
- Should be able to lead the project with assigned designers.
Qualifications & Requirements
- ITI in Mechanical/Piping Draughtsman or recognized other institute with 10+ years’ experience in life sciences design consultancy.
- Certificate course in Auto CAD/Revit would be an added advantage.
- Any other course would be an added advantage.
- Proficient in Revit.
