Job Description:
A User Experience Designer at UST believes in and demonstrates a disruptive, innovation-driven approach toward the practice. The role blends deep empathy for users with a strong understanding of business needs. The designer must possess a guerrilla-like mindset for rapid visioning, lateral thinking, and clear articulation of design solutions. Openness, flexibility, and the ability to appreciate ideas from anywhere are essential.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate a strong understanding of the design process and its application across different problem spaces.
Drive creative brainstorming sessions and ideation workshops.
Support new business initiatives and collaborate with cross disciplinary teams to define and execute concepts aligned with clients business goals.
Work closely with UST s client teams, which may include Product Owners, Delivery Managers, and Product Designers.
Identify customer needs and requirements by engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
Create wireframes, prototypes, interaction diagrams, pattern libraries, and user flows to communicate design solutions.
Analyze existing systems and understand emerging business and audience needs.
Support user research activities such as user interviews and usability testing and prepare actionable reports summarizing findings.
Document discussions, key design decisions, concepts, and finalized scope.
Coordinate with creative and artistic teams to ensure deadlines are met and project objectives are achieved.
Lead by example produce high quality work, clearly articulate design decisions, and inspire the team.
Present work to internal teams and clients, encouraging collaboration and building consensus around solutions.
Contribute to the development of design best practices and design systems.
Requirements
Mandatory skills: User research, Primary and secondary Research
Preferred skills: Design strategy, Research Synthesis, Research Documentation
Must have a Master s/Bachelor s degree in a design discipline OR at least 2+ years of experience as a User
Experience Designer
0-3 years of overall industry experience.
An online portfolio showcasing recent academic or live projects (password-protected portfolios are acceptable if shared during the interview).
Working knowledge of user centered design methods and techniques.
Strong communication skills.
Proficiency with tools such as Figma, Sketch, Axure, Adobe XD, etc.
Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams to achieve shared goals.
