TCS presents an Excellent opportunity for Designer – Vehicle Interior Design
Desired Experience Range: 4 to 8 Years
Location of Requirement: Bangalore
Required Skill: Working knowledge of Vehicle Interior part designs with good skills in plastic product design and Siemens NX advanced modelling (NX 2312/2406 and Greater) techniques.
Technical/Functional Skills:
- Proficient in NX advanced surface modeling/solid/feature modeling techniques.
- Proficient in plastic product design with use of NX design analysis/validation tools (Mold Part Validation, Slope analysis….)
- Ability to develop standard modeling methods and processes for productivity.
- Knowledge of industry level automotive design best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Automotive Interior design domain knowledge.
- Effective communication/problem solving/result oriented skills.
Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role:
- Responsible to develop and release design solutions on time with quality to meet subsystem and part level performance requirements.
- Develop, refine, and complete design criteria’s - Typical Sections, Design Executions Sections.
- Apply design for manufacturing/design for assembly concepts in sub-system level part design.
- Fix part level design integration issues on time with other sub-system stakeholders.
- Apply OEM recommended design best practices to production design of specific sub-system components.
- Interpret and apply supplier DFM/Mold flow/CAE report for design improvements.
- Use siemens NX, Teamcenter, VisMockup tools extensively for 3d design development for production release.
- Develop Standard Modeling Methods and Processes for productivity.
- Apply and document lessons learned in design and development.
- Meet math data quality requirements per OEM recommendations.
- To be an excellent collaborator with mix of talent levels within the team.
- Attend team meetings and program level design review meetings
- Support OEM’s Agile approach to manage math development cycles from coarse to final design with incremental quality as needed with value addition.
