Company Description EdgeSilica Private Limited is a semiconductor services company specializing in high-quality VLSI design and engineering solutions for global customers. The organization focuses on physical design, design verification, SoC and IP integration, and system software to help clients accelerate time-to-market while maintaining engineering excellence. EdgeSilica emphasizes strong technical depth, process-driven execution, and customer-first engagement, supporting startups, fabless companies, and product organizations across the semiconductor ecosystem. Engineering teams are trained on industry-standard EDA tools and follow best practices in design quality, scalability, and confidentiality. The company is committed to delivering reliable, scalable, and future-ready semiconductor engineering services built for long-term partnerships.
Role Description The Design Verification Engineer will be responsible for developing and executing verification plans for complex digital designs, including testbench architecture, stimulus generation, and coverage analysis. Day-to-day tasks include writing and reviewing SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches, creating constrained-random and directed test cases, debugging simulation failures, and collaborating with design, physical design, and software teams to ensure functional correctness of IP and SoC-level components. The engineer will also contribute to automation of regression environments, documentation of verification methodologies, and continuous improvement of verification flows and best practices. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Maharashtra, India, requiring close coordination with cross-functional engineering teams and adherence to project schedules and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in digital design verification, including SystemVerilog, UVM, and simulation-based verification methodologies.
- Experience with EDA tools for simulation, regression management, waveform analysis, and coverage measurement (e.g., functional, code, and assertion coverage).
- Solid understanding of digital design fundamentals, RTL behavior, SoC/IP integration concepts, and common bus protocols (such as AXI, AHB, or APB).
- Ability to develop verification plans, create reusable testbench components, and implement constrained-random and directed test scenarios.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to analyze failures, work closely with design teams, and drive resolution.
- Clear and concise communication skills, with the ability to document methodologies, results, and issues for cross-functional stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Prior experience in semiconductor product or services companies, and familiarity with industry best practices in confidentiality and quality, is an advantage.
- Willingness to work on-site in Maharashtra, India, in a collaborative, process-driven environment and contribute to long-term customer partnerships.
