Position Overview
The position is responsible for conducting robust reviews of all design discipline deliverables and providing critical value engineering inputs throughout the project lifecycle. This role ensures seamless coordination between internal functional teams and external consultants to maintain project timelines, quality norms, and statutory compliance. Additionally, this position facilitates procurement, vendor selection, and comprehensive design documentation.
Core Responsibilities
1. Project Planning
• Framework Development: Collaborate with the Design Head of Department (HoD) and external consultants to establish project management frameworks, procurement operations, and contract strategies aligned with long-term corporate objectives.
• Scheduling & Budgeting: Provide strategic inputs to build accurate schedules, cost estimates, and resource allocations for contracts and procurement.
• Compliance Planning: Assist in mapping out all regulatory and compliance requirements, ensuring approvals are secured and handed over to the Project Manager for implementation.
• Timeline Mapping: Support the Design HoD in defining project timelines across infrastructure, architectural planning, and development phases.
2. Feasibility Study & Design Coordination
• Feasibility Analysis: Review feasibility study reports submitted by consultants and deliver timely, actionable suggestions to the Design HoD.
• Design Development: Provide architectural inputs to external consultants and assist in finalizing stage-wise design developments.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate effectively with all stakeholders to finalize Architectural, Structural, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), Landscape, and Interior design packages.
• Cost Optimization: Analyze price proposals from consultants and vendors, review contract provisions, and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency.
• Statutory Approvals: Facilitate the acquisition of statutory approvals from apex bodies and ensure strict compliance during project execution.
• Documentation & Tracking: Maintain comprehensive design documentation, trackers, and dashboards to effectively monitor project progress.
3. Project Management
• Stakeholder Alignment: Maintain regular coordination with all consultants (MEP, Structural, Architects) and internal HoDs to ensure smooth project development.
• Issue Resolution: Partner with Project Heads to proactively resolve any compliance or execution issues on-site.
• Technical Input Provision: Finalize all necessary technical data required for budgeting, design estimation, bid documentation, and the finalization of techno-commercial contract terms.
Job Requirements
Educational Qualification
• Essential: Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch)
Work Experience
• Experience Level: 8 to 10 years of core experience.
• Industry Preference: Must have experience working within the Real Estate, Construction, or Building Infrastructure industries.
