The Role
We are looking for a highly capable Design & Production Manager to help operate the heart of Morni’s Jaipur studio.
This is a hybrid role combining:
- fashion design coordination
- production management
- artisan/vendor communication
- systems thinking
- quality control
- execution
You will work directly with the founders to help transform Morni from a creative studio into a scalable production ecosystem.
This role is ideal for someone who:
- deeply understands garments and production
- can operate calmly in fast-moving environments
- is excited by AI, systems, and the future of fashion
- wants to build something culturally meaningful
ResponsibilitiesDesign & Development
- Coordinate design development from concept to production
- Translate vision boards and references into actionable production plans
- Work with silhouettes, fabrics, trims, dyeing, embroidery, and finishing
- Assist in tech packs and production documentation
Production Management
- Manage production timelines and workflows
- Coordinate with tailors, artisans, vendors, and workshops
- Track sampling, revisions, QC, and dispatches
- Ensure quality consistency across all pieces
Systems & Operations
- Help build SOPs and operational systems
- Use AI and digital tools to improve workflows
- Maintain production tracking through Airtable / Notion
- Reduce operational chaos through planning and documentation
Vendor & Cluster Coordination
- Build and manage relationships with artisan clusters across Rajasthan and India
- Source fabrics, trims, and production partners
- Identify new techniques and capabilities
Ideal Candidate
- 3–7 years experience in fashion production / development
- Strong understanding of garment construction and textiles
- Experience working with Indian artisan ecosystems preferred
- Organized, proactive, detail-oriented
- Comfortable with technology and willing to adopt AI tools
- Strong communication skills in Hindi + English
- Based in Jaipur
Bonus Points
- Experience with luxury or sustainable fashion
- Exposure to natural fabrics and handcraft
- Understanding of AI tools / workflow automation
- Creative eye and strong aesthetic taste
- Experience working with international brands
