About VIA XVII
VIA XVII is a luxury ready-to-wear occasionwear label built on precision, craftsmanship, and quiet intensity. A year into our commercial launch, we are scaling across ecom, wholesale, and pop-up channels globally, with India as our primary market. As our collections grow in scale and complexity, we're looking for someone to work closely with our Production Head to bring structure, speed, and consistency to how we design and produce.
Role Overview
This role sits between design and production — turning creative direction into execution-ready detail, and keeping sampling, embroidery, and vendor timelines on track. You will work closely with the Founder and Production Head across the collection lifecycle: from concept and tech packs through sampling, fittings, and final production. You are precise, organized, and comfortable holding creative and operational detail at the same time.
Key Responsibilities
Design Support
Translate creative direction into tech packs, spec sheets, and print/embroidery placements
Support mood boards, fabric mapping, and colour palette documentation
Assist with sketching and detailing garment construction for production handoff
Production Coordination
Track sampling timelines and coordinate fittings with the production team
Manage embroidery sampling and technique documentation across garment families
Follow up with the masterji, tailor, and embroiderers on daily production status
Flag delays or quality issues early and escalate where needed
Vendor & Fabric Coordination
Coordinate fabric and trims sourcing with vendors against production schedules
Track deliveries and maintain fabric/trim inventory records
Support quality checks on incoming materials
Cross-team Coordination
Work closely with the Production Head to plan and sequence collection timelines
Coordinate with the Founder on design approvals and revisions
Maintain organized documentation of samples, references, and approvals
What We're Looking For
1–3 years of experience in fashion design, production, or merchandising
Strong understanding of garment construction and production processes
Comfortable with tech packs, spec sheets, and fabric/trim documentation
Excellent organisation and follow-up skills across multiple workstreams
An eye for detail and a genuine interest in craftsmanship and embroidery techniques
Calm under pressure, especially around collection and launch deadlines
