Role Overview
We are looking for a Design Head – Sales & Design who can lead from the front — someone who understands that great design doesn’t just look good, it converts.
This role goes beyond design leadership. You will own the customer journey from design to closure, ensuring that every interaction drives confidence, value, and decision-making.
Revenue Ownership (Core Expectation)
Sales & Design Split:
- 0–15% (Lead to Qualification):
- 15–70% (Design to Closure):
Your Role:
- Take complete ownership of the Sales & Design journey
- Drive conversions through design, solutioning, and client engagement
- Ensure designs are aligned to budget, feasibility, and closure intent
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales-Driven Design Leadership
- Lead and mentor the design team to deliver high-conversion designs
- Build a culture where design directly contributes to revenue outcomes
- Align design strategies with monthly and quarterly sales targets
2. Client Engagement & Closures
- Take over from sales post qualification and drive the deal to closure
- Lead client meetings, presentations, and design discussions
- Use design as a tool to handle objections and accelerate decision-making
3. Sales Collaboration
- Work closely with the sales team for seamless handover and alignment
- Ensure no drop-offs between lead qualification and design conversion
- Actively participate in pipeline reviews and closure planning
4. Design Strategy & Innovation
- Develop multifunctional, space-saving design solutions
- Standardize design processes for scalability and speed
- Introduce new concepts that enhance value perception and pricing power
5. Team Management & Performance
- Train designers on sales-oriented design thinking
- Set and track KPIs: conversion %, ticket size, TAT, customer experience
- Conduct regular design reviews and performance feedback sessions
6. Execution Alignment
- Collaborate with production and execution teams
- Ensure design feasibility, accuracy, and minimal rework
- Maintain timelines and quality standards
Key KPIs
- Conversion ratio from Requirement gathering stage to closure
- Revenue contribution from design team
- Average ticket size improvement
- Design turnaround time (TAT)
- Reduction in drop-offs post design presentation
- Customer satisfaction / NPS
Requirements
- 10–15 years of experience in interior design with strong sales exposure
- Proven ability to drive closures through design
- Experience in residential interiors, modular, or space-saving solutions
- Strong leadership experience managing design teams
- Excellent client-facing, presentation, and negotiation skills
