About the Role
We are looking for a Design Manager to lead the design function across residential interior projects. The role requires a strong eye for design, excellent project ownership, and the ability to take projects from concept to execution while maintaining design quality, timelines, and budgets. You will work closely with clients, vendors, contractors and internal teams to ensure every project is delivered with a strong design vision and high attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end interior design process from concept development to final execution.
- Develop design concepts, mood boards, layouts, material palettes, furniture, lighting, and styling.
- Translate client requirements and brief into practical, visually strong design solutions.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality, timelines, and budgets are met.
- Lead and mentor a team of interior designers and junior designers.
- Review drawings, 3D visualizations, material selections, BOQs, and detailed design packages.
- Coordinate closely with architects, contractors, consultants, vendors, and site teams.
- Conduct design reviews and site visits to ensure execution is aligned with the approved design.
- Manage client presentations, feedback, approvals, and expectations throughout the project.
- Source and evaluate materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, lighting, and accessories.
- Identify design and execution issues early and work with relevant teams to resolve them.
- Maintain consistency in design standards, documentation, detailing, and quality across projects.
- Stay updated on emerging interior design trends, materials, technologies, and industry practices.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in interior design, with experience managing design teams and projects.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating residential, commercial, hospitality, or relevant interior projects.
- Strong understanding of space planning, materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and detailing.
- Experience managing projects from concept through execution.
- Strong knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, or equivalent tools.
- Strong project management and coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and client-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under tight timelines.
- Strong attention to detail with a high bar for design quality.
- Ability to balance creativity with commercial, technical, and execution requirements.

- You have a strong eye for proportion, materials, detailing, colour, and overall spatial experience.
