Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune for a Design Manager. The Design Manager will oversee the design and development of machinery and engineering solutions, ensuring compliance with international standards and client requirements. Key responsibilities include leading design teams, creating and reviewing detailed engineering designs, coordinating with manufacturing and quality assurance teams, and contributing to innovation in product development. The role also involves managing timelines, budgets, and ensuring the successful execution of projects to deliver high-quality solutions to customers.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD software, engineering design tools, and technical drawing interpretation.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and team supervision.
- Sound knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, design standards, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and clients.
- Problem-solving skills to address design challenges and provide optimal solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on stakeholder collaboration.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Experience in the heavy engineering or railway sector is an added advantage.
