Job Title: Design Manager
Location: Bengaluru
Project Type: Hospitality
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end design management process for luxury hospitality projects, ensuring alignment with brand standards, project objectives, timelines, and quality expectations.
- Coordinate and manage multidisciplinary design teams, including architects, interior designers, MEP consultants, structural consultants, and specialist vendors across on-site and remote locations.
- Collaborate effectively with international consultants and hospitality operators to ensure seamless communication, design integration, and timely delivery of project milestones.
- Review and monitor design deliverables at various stages, ensuring compliance with project specifications, statutory regulations, operational requirements, and hospitality brand guidelines.
- Drive design coordination meetings and workshops, resolving technical and design-related issues proactively to maintain project progress.
- Ensure implementation of sustainable design principles and support compliance with LEED and other green building standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee BIM-based design development processes and promote the use of collaborative digital design platforms for efficient coordination, clash detection, and document management.
- Work closely with Project Management, Cost Management, and Construction teams to ensure design intent is maintained during execution and handover phases.
- Manage design schedules, track design progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to achieve project delivery targets.
- Support value engineering initiatives without compromising design quality, operational functionality, or guest experience.
- Review material selections, mock-ups, and technical submissions to ensure consistency with approved design concepts and luxury hospitality standards.
- Maintain strong stakeholder engagement with clients, operators, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Ensure all design documentation is accurate, coordinated, and issued in accordance with project timelines and quality standards.
- Contribute to innovation, design excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 12–15 years of experience in design management within hospitality or large-scale building projects.
- BE / BTech Civil or B.Arch is preferred. Postgraduate qualification in Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Strong expertise in managing end-to-end design coordination from concept to completion.
- Working knowledge of cloud-based platforms for collaborative design management and coordination.

- Familiarity with BIM workflows, design coordination, and clash detection processes.
- Ability to coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, and project stakeholders effectively.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple design packages, timelines, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
