About Love the World Today
Love the World Today is a conscious clothing brand for children that cherishes the magic of childhood. We create high quality, sustainable kids' clothing using natural fibers, organic fabrics, and handwoven textiles crafted by artisans across India. Driven by care for children, communities, and the planet, we use low impact processes and offer unique up-cycling programs to reduce waste. LTWT is more than a brand; it is a lifestyle movement that values mindful, beautiful, and purposeful choices.
The Role
We are looking for a passionate, meticulous, and multi-tasking Design & Production Lead to own the end-to-end lifecycle of our collections. This is a unique role for a fashion graduate who wants to look beyond pure design and dive deep into sustainable textile development, conscious production management, and brand building. You will bridge the gap between a creative mood board and a highly optimized, zero-waste factory floor.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Collection Development
- Concept to Reality: Translate a creative brief into an end to end collection, establishing mood boards, color palettes, and visual narratives.
- Technical Design: Create detailed fashion illustrations, accurate sizing charts, and thorough Tech Packs.
- Pattern & Sampling: Oversee the pattern making stage and conduct rigorous sample checks against tech sheets to ensure perfect fits for childrenswear.
- Textile & Print Innovation: Lead print and weave developments by working closely with our weaver communities and artisan base across India (includes on-site visits).
- Creative Visuals: Translate the collection's design language onto campaign shoots and visual marketing assets.
Production Planning & Factory Operations
- Pipeline Management: Plan production schedules and coordinate closely with factory production team and merchandising teams to ensure timely execution.
- Wastage Optimization: Keep a sharp eye on fabric consumption and the cutting process at the factory to optimize averages and drastically reduce fabric wastage.
- Upcycling Initiatives: Evaluate and design innovative upcycled products utilizing production scraps and excess yardage.
- Quality Control: Conduct frequent visits to the production unit for hands-on quality checks and strict adherence to specifications.
- Sourcing & Negotiation: Identify reliable vendors for conscious trims and materials, utilizing strong negotiation skills to keep development cost-efficient.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
Experience: 2–3 years of experience working with a fashion label. Kidswear experience is a massive plus.
Technical Mastery: Working knowledge of both Wovens and Knits. Thorough understanding of garment construction, textile technology, and pattern verification.
Software Proficiency: Excellent command of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD, and MS Office.
We are a lean, passionate brand. We need someone who has a curious mind and an open heart, some one who takes constructive feedback with grace and see every challenge as an opportunity to sharpen their skills.
We aren't just looking for a clock-in, clock-out employee. We want someone who wants to root themselves here, connect deeply with our artisans and production team, and truly belong to the LTWT family and journey.
