Job details:
We're looking for a Design Intern / Freelancer
Visual storyteller for a skincare brand built on formulation intelligence.
Remote · Flexible Hours · Part-time / Project-based
Who we are
"We don't do trends. We do intelligent skin."
The Botanistry is a premium skincare brand blending Ayurvedic botanical science with modern cosmetic formulation. We live at the intersection of heritage and rigour, not minimalist, not mass-market, and definitely not another glow serum brand.
We're building something that belongs on a shelf next to the world's best skincare houses. And we need design that reflects exactly that.
What you'll be working on
- Instagram posts, carousels & story templates with a consistent luxury visual identity
- Reels & short-form video edits for product launches, ingredient features & brand storytelling
- Website banners, section visuals & product graphics
- Occasional brand collateral, packaging mockups & campaign visuals
What we're looking for
- A strong eye for luxury aesthetics, you know the difference between elegant and generic without being told
- Proficiency in Canva Pro, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Figma, comfort with at least two
- Hands-on video editing skills via CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar. You've edited reels before, not just watched them
- A solid grasp of visual hierarchy, typography & composition. You think in layouts, not just colors.
- Someone who can take a brief and deliver independently, on time, without needing hand-holding at every step
- Comfortable with feedback and iteration. You understand good design is a conversation, not a one-shot delivery
Bonus points if you have:
worked with a skincare, beauty, or wellness brand before, even as a passion project. You understand that a moisturiser and a protein powder don't get the same visual treatment. You know how to make something feel clinical yet sensorial, premium yet warm.
The honest bit
This is a founder-led brand in its pre-launch phase. You won't be buried inside a large design team. You'll work directly with the founder.
That means your work will be seen, used, and credited. It also means you need to be self-directed, curious, and someone who takes pride in craft. Not just deliverables.
If you need a five-brief approval chain to design a carousel, this probably isn't for you. If you love the idea of shaping a brand's visual identity from the ground up, it very much is.
Think you're a good fit?
Send your portfolio, a short note on why The Botanistry excites you, and 2–3 examples of your best work, especially anything from beauty, wellness, or luxury.
No lengthy cover letters. No templates. Just show us how you think.
