A highly experienced Architect with 15+ years of expertise in designing and delivering large-scale, world-class airport terminals and aviation infrastructure projects across global markets, with a strong focus on India. The role involves leading multidisciplinary teams to create innovative, passenger-centric, and sustainable airport environments aligned with international standards and local context.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design development and execution of airport terminals from concept through construction
- Manage complex, large-scale aviation projects involving multiple stakeholders (clients, consultants, authorities, operators)
- Ensure compliance with global aviation standards (ICAO, IATA) and local regulatory frameworks
- Integrate passenger experience, operational efficiency, and commercial planning into design solutions
- Coordinate with PMC teams, engineering consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless project delivery
- Drive sustainable and biophilic design strategies, especially in Indian climatic and cultural contexts
- Oversee production of detailed architectural documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports
- Mentor and lead internal design teams, fostering innovation and quality
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
- Minimum 15 years of professional experience, with a strong portfolio in airport or large-scale infrastructure projects
- Proven experience working on international and Indian airport projects
- Strong understanding of:
- Terminal planning and passenger flow
- Airside/landside coordination
- Baggage handling systems and security integration
- Experience working with global architecture/consulting firms or large multidisciplinary teams
- Proficiency in industry tools (e.g., Revit, BIM workflows, CAD, visualization tools)
Preferred Skills
- Expertise in sustainable design, LEED/IGBC certification, or net-zero strategies
- Familiarity with PPP airport development models in India
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to balance design vision with technical and commercial constraints
