We're looking for skilled Design Engineers with strong hands-on expertise in SolidWorks to support the design and development of automotive components and assemblies.
The role involves 3D modelling, detailed engineering drawings, GD&T application, tolerance stack-up analysis, and coordination with CAE, manufacturing, and program teams to deliver production-ready designs.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automotive components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies using SolidWorks
- Create 3D models, detailed drawings, BOMs, and production-ready assemblies
- Apply GD&T and perform tolerance stack-up analysis
- Develop designs considering bending, torsion, stiffness, fatigue, and structural performance
- Work on sheet metal design, stamping, and joining processes including welding, riveting, adhesives, and fasteners
- Collaborate with CAE teams to interpret simulation results and optimize designs
- Ensure manufacturability, cost, and quality requirements are met (DFM / DFA)
- Support prototype builds, validation, testing, and engineering change management
- Participate in design reviews and coordinate with manufacturing, electrical, and program teams
- Support material selection and lightweighting initiatives where applicable
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks for part modelling, assemblies, and production drawings
- Good understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals including stress, strain, stiffness, and load paths
- Experience in automotive component or subsystem design
- Knowledge of sheet metal, plastics, and machined component design
- Strong understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as stamping, casting, machining, and joining techniques
- Experience in EV components, battery packaging, BIW, underbody, or upper body design is preferred
- Good communication and cross-functional coordination skills
Qualification
- B.E / M.E in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering
