Position: Design Engineer- NPD
Qualification: BE / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech / in Mechanical Engineering /Plastics
Experience: 2- 6 years
Location: Thane/Pune
Software: New Product Design / Sheet metal design / Plastic product Design/ Mould design / Concept Generation / Prototyping / Solid Works / Creo / UG NX/ Catia/ Inventor/Solidedge
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative product concepts and detailed designs for new product development.
- Create 2D drawings and 3D models ensuring technical feasibility, manufacturability, cost optimization, durability, and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform concepts into production-ready products.
- Conduct market and product research to identify trends, customer requirements, and new opportunities.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams during product development and launch stages.
- Design and review prototypes, perform testing, and finalize designs for mass production.
- Apply GD&T, stack-up analysis, and industrial standards such as ANSI, JIS, and DIN.
- Ensure compliance with DFM, DFMA, DFMEA, design control, and stage-gate processes.
Desired Skill Set:
- A good grasp of engineering and design principles.
- Core experience in Product design (Plastic, sheet metal design, material handling equipment design, etc.)
- Knowledge in GD&T, Stack-up analysis.
- Good knowledge of any of the 3D modeling software (SolidWorks / Pro-E etc.).
- Excellent communication skills and good team working skills.
- Good understanding of color science and combinations.
- Willing to travel overseas for short and long assignments.
- B1 Visa: Added advantage
- German language proficiency: Added advantage
