Design Engineer (Industrial Fabrications)
Mecwear Alloys Private Limited is expanding its technical team in Vadodara. We are looking for a precision-oriented Design Engineer to spearhead the design and drafting of high-performance industrial components utilizing our specialized wear-resistant materials.
As a leader in the manufacturing of Chromium Carbide Overlay (CCO) plates and flux-cored wires, we provide solutions that endure the harshest industrial environments. This role is critical in translating our material advantages into functional, high-end fabrications for our global clientele.
Key Responsibilities
* Design & Drafting: Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for industrial fabrications, specifically focusing on wear-resistant liners, chutes, hoppers, and specialized piping systems.
* Material Integration: Optimize designs to leverage the properties of Chromium Carbide Overlay (CCO) plates and wear-resistant alloys.
* Technical Documentation: Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), technical specifications, and fabrication layouts for the production team.
* Site Coordination: Collaborate with the production team at our Manjusar (Vadodara) facilities to ensure design feasibility and precision in the final product.
* Problem Solving: Analyze customer requirements to provide customized engineering solutions for wear and abrasion challenges.
Required Qualifications & Skills
* Education: Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Experience: 3–5 years of experience in industrial fabrication design (experience with wear-resistant materials is a significant plus).
* Software Proficiency: Expert-level command of AutoCAD and 3D modeling software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar).
* Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of welding symbols, fabrication tolerances, and structural integrity for heavy industrial equipment.
* Attention to Detail: Ability to manage complex layouts, including specialized pipe geometries and plate nesting.
