About the Position

The Design Engineer – Formwork & Shell Design is responsible for preparing safe, economical, and practical formwork and shell structure designs for construction projects. The role involves detailed structural calculations, preparation of drawings, and close coordination with sales, projects, and site teams to ensure successful execution.

The Design Engineer – Formwork & Shell Design is responsible for preparing safe, economical, and practical formwork and shell structure designs for construction projects. The role involves detailed structural calculations, preparation of drawings, and close coordination with sales, projects, and site teams to ensure successful execution.

Responsibilities

• Design & Engineering
• Prepare formwork and shell design layouts for RCC structures such as slabs, beams, columns, walls, cores, and shear walls.
• Carry out basic structural and load calculations for formwork systems as per relevant IS codes and safety standards.
• Design solutions using Aluminium / MS formwork systems, scaffolding, props, beams, and accessories.
• Optimize designs to ensure material efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
• Drawings & Documentation
• Prepare GA drawings, shop drawings, assembly drawings, and erection details.
• Prepare method statements, design notes, and technical submissions.
• Revise drawings based on site conditions, client feedback, or execution requirements.
• Coordination & Support
• Coordinate with sales and estimation teams to support tendering and proposal preparation.
• Provide technical support to site teams during installation and execution.
• Attend client meetings, technical discussions, and site visits as required.
• Resolve design-related issues during project execution.
• Compliance & Quality
• Ensure all designs comply with IS codes, safety norms, and company standards.
• Check and validate drawings and calculations before issue.
• Maintain proper design records and version control.
