Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Design Engineer specializing in Automotive Plastic Product Design, based in the Pune Division. The Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing innovative automotive plastic products, creating CAD models, performing design analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability. Additional responsibilities include preparing and reviewing technical documentation, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring timely delivery of design projects.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD software for 3D modeling and drafting, such as CATIA or NX
- Experience with plastic product design processes and tooling methodologies
- Understanding of automotive standards, regulatory requirements, and manufacturing processes
- Strong skills in design analysis, problem-solving, and attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or relevant Engineering field
- Experience in the automotive industry is highly desirable
