Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Design Engineer role based in Thane. The Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components and systems for bulk fluid handling and safety access solutions, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and industry codes. Daily activities include preparing and reviewing detailed CAD models and drawings, performing engineering calculations, supporting product customization, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as manufacturing, quality, procurement, and sales. The role includes participation in design reviews, resolving engineering issues during production and installation, and maintaining accurate design documentation and bills of materials. The Design Engineer will also support continuous improvement initiatives, contribute to standardization of designs, and assist with technical support for clients and internal stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and Design Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to real-world industrial applications.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling and 2D drafting, with experience creating detailed assemblies, layouts, and manufacturing drawings.
- Experience in Product Design, including concept development, design optimization, materials selection, and design for manufacturability and maintainability.
- Basic understanding of Electrical Engineering concepts relevant to integrated systems, instrumentation, and control interfaces is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and codes for pressure equipment, piping, and structural design is preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, P&IDs, and engineering documents, and translate them into practical design solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary and international teams.
