Role Title- Design Engineer- Seating system

Sub domain - Seat structure, Mechanism, complete seat, Seating plastics

Tools- CATIA V5/V6, 3DExperiance, Teamcenter, Visualization Mock-up

Exp – 5 – 8 yrs

Education -Bachelors/Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field

Location: Pune

Np- Immediate-30 Days

Job Descriptions:

• Responsible for designing of seating system commodities - Seat structure, Mechanism, complete seat, OB/IB valance, Head rest, seat mounting brackets etc

• Extensive experience in using CATIA V5 & V6 (Generative Shape design, Part Design, Kinematics, Assembly & Drawing workbench)

• Create parametric 3D proposals in Catia maintaining editable history, define materials & create components as well as assembly drawings with drawing standards wherever applicable.

• Packaging studies, environment check, kinematics simulation (if applicable) for various mechanisms with good knowledge of all regulatory and functional requirements.

• Very good understanding of DFM and DFA

• Detailed Engineering knowledge of design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements

• Ensure system, sub-system and components meets required interfaces, DVA, Optical and Perceived Quality targets.

• Ensure Regulatory compliance of system, sub-system and components.

• Follow and deliver company goals and strategies.

• Establishing and maintain the teamwork plan aligned to vehicle program.

• Basic Knowledge of rules and reactions in Catia

• Should have good GD& T knowledge

• Ensure data is up to date and reflects the required levels of maturity at any given point in time

• Provide CAD support, leading and progressing the design in line with the program timescales and deliverable cadence

• Be responsible for communication with all Stake holders e.g. Design team, studio, legal, packaging, legal etc

• Ensuring that the all project deliverables are met.

Skill Requirements:

• In depth knowledge of products, development process, Tools & technologies in the domain of seating system commodities product engineering & development.

• Familiar with new technology developments & regulations

• Very good working experience in CATIA V5/V6, 3DExperiance, Teamcenter Visualization Mock-up

• Excellent communication skills.

• PC Literacy: Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word etc.

• Customer Centricity and Driving Execution

• • Agile or Scrum will be added advantage.
