Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Design Engineer role based in the Pune Division. The Design Engineer will be responsible for developing and refining 3D models and 2D drawings using Solidworks CAD tools, ensuring designs meet functional, manufacturability, and safety requirements. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with mechanical and electrical teams, interpreting design specifications, conducting basic calculations, and creating detailed product designs and assemblies. The role involves reviewing and updating design documentation, supporting design reviews, and incorporating feedback from internal stakeholders and clients.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with the ability to apply core engineering principles in design work.
- Proficiency in Design Engineering and Product Design, including concept development, detailing, and validation of components and assemblies.
- Hands-on experience with Solidworks and CAtia V5 for modeling, drafting, and design updates.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, standards, and specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to accuracy and detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working in multidisciplinary teams on-site.
- Familiarity with GD&T, and manufacturing processes (such as machining, fabrication, or sheet metal) is an advantage.
- Willingness to learn new tools and methodologies and to work within project timelines and quality requirements.
