Job Title: Solar Design Engineer
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Solar Design Engineer to design and optimize rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with SketchUp, AutoCAD, and PVsyst, along with a strong understanding of solar engineering principles, electrical design, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems based on client requirements and site conditions.
Prepare detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and electrical single-line diagrams (SLDs) using AutoCAD.
Develop accurate 3D solar plant models using SketchUp.
Perform energy yield assessments, shading analysis, and system performance simulations using PVsyst.
Optimize PV system layouts for maximum energy generation while complying with applicable standards and regulations.
Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities), technical proposals, and design documentation.
Coordinate with project managers, sales teams, and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Review site survey data and recommend optimal system configurations.
Ensure designs comply with local electrical codes, safety standards, and client specifications.
Provide technical support during project execution and commissioning.
