About the Role
We are looking for a practical, detail-oriented Design Engineer with a background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, who is comfortable working on real-world industrial projects. The role involves creating, refining and supporting design solutions for busduct systems, closely aligned with project and manufacturing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and develop detailed 2D drawings using AutoCAD for busduct systems and related components
- Interpret technical specifications, project requirements, and client inputs into workable designs
- Coordinate with the production and project teams to ensure design feasibility and execution
- Modify and optimize existing designs based on site conditions, feedback, and performance requirements
- Ensure drawings and documentation are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with company standards
- Support estimation and proposal teams with technical inputs where required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD (mandatory)
- 1–4 years of relevant experience in design/drafting (industrial or manufacturing preferred)
- Good understanding of engineering fundamentals and fabrication processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Attention to detail and a practical approach to problem-solving
Preferred
- Experience in busducts, electrical panels, or similar industrial products
- Familiarity with basic design calculations and material selection
