Role - Design Engineer (Tool & Die / Fixture Design)
Location - Pune

THE ROLE
A hands-on design role focused on creating and refining sheet metal components, tooling (jigs and fixtures), and 3D models in SolidWorks/Creo translating concepts into precise manufacturing drawings while collaborating across teams to drive high-quality, production-ready engineering solutions.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Design and develop sheet metal components, assemblies, and tooling (jigs, fixtures)
- Create and modify 3D models and generate detailed 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks/Creo
- Apply GD&T, material specifications, and design standards to ensure manufacturability and quality
- Support end-to-end product development from concept to production, including tool/fixture validation
- Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to optimize designs, tooling efficiency, and production processes
- Troubleshoot and improve existing designs, tools, and fixtures for cost, quality, and performance
- Contribute to design optimization and continuous improvement initiatives
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma or a related field, with a strong foundation in design and manufacturing principles
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in product design and development, preferably in sheet metal components
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or Creo, including 3D modeling, assembly, surfacing, and creation of detailed 2D engineering drawings
- Good knowledge of press tools & die design, fixture design, SPM concepts, and sheet metal design guidelines
- Understanding of core engineering fundamentals such as Strength of Materials, Material Science (including heat treatment processes), and GD&T (ASME & ISO standards)
- Strong team player with a proactive, “play-to-win” attitude and effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Ready to join immediately and comfortable working in a 6-day work week environment
