Role Description The Design Engineer will work full time on-site in Thane, contributing to the design and development of engineering solutions for pharmaceutical turnkey projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing mechanical and electrical designs, creating detailed CAD drawings and layouts, and supporting product design activities to meet technical, safety, and regulatory requirements. The role involves collaborating with project managers, consultants, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure designs align with project scope, budget, and timelines. The Design Engineer will also support installation and commissioning by providing technical documentation, resolving design-related issues, and coordinating with vendors and clients. Attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and adherence to global pharmaceutical standards are essential.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Design Engineering skills with experience translating project requirements into practical, compliant solutions.
- Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering capabilities for equipment layout, system integration, and performance optimization.
- Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) proficiency for creating accurate 2D/3D drawings, models, and technical documentation.
- Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering knowledge for power distribution, control systems, and integration of process equipment.
- Candidates should possess Product Design skills to develop efficient, safe, and user-oriented solutions for pharmaceutical environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline; advanced qualifications in design or CAD are an advantage.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, process, or industrial projects, with familiarity with WHO/FDA/USFDA/MHRA guidelines, is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to read and interpret technical standards, and proficiency with relevant engineering and design software.
- Effective communication, teamwork, and documentation skills, with the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary and client teams .
