Perfect Candidate Snapshot:
A B.E. Mechanical Engineer with 12–20 years of manufacturing experience and 3+ years in engineering team leadership, skilled in product design, process development, steel materials, testing & validation, jigs & fixtures, and CREO / Windchill / PDM Link. Ideal candidates come from industrial products, power transmission, or heavy engineering backgrounds with experience in quality systems, cost optimization, and continuous improvement.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) / Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)
- Candidates with additional qualifications such as M.E./M.Tech. or certifications in design/quality systems are advantageous but not essential
- 12+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably industrial products or heavy engineering.
- Minimum 3 years in a mid-senior engineering leadership role, managing engineering teams and cross-functional projects.
- Hands-on product design and process development experience, including continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of steel materials and material grades, metallurgy considerations, and manufacturing applications.
- Expertise in design software: CREO, Windchill, PDM Link, and related CAD/PDM tools.
- Experience with tools, jigs, fixtures, testing, and validation, including benchmarking and product performance evaluation.
- Knowledge of international chain standards (or industrial mechanical component standards), testing methodologies, and validation processes.
- Experience in Quality Systems (IMS/QMS), audit documentation, compliance procedures, and continuous improvement.
- Cost optimization and engineering analysis, including product cost reviews, value engineering, and process standardization.
- Cross-functional leadership, collaborating with Operations, Production, Supply Chain, Sales, and R&D while mentoring engineering teams.
