Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing patient-specific surgical guides, implants, and pre-operative planning tools using 3D CAD software. Your work will directly impact patient care by translating clinical requirements into functional, safe, and manufacturable solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Create and optimize patient-specific implants, surgical guides, and related medical devices using imaging data and CAD/CAM tools.
- Clinical Translation: Convert clinical and surgical requirements into safe, functional, and manufacturable solutions aligned with regulatory standards (ISO 13485, MDR/CE).
- Technical Documentation: Prepare 3D models, technical drawings, and design files for manufacturing, validation, and surgical planning.
- Collaboration: Work closely with surgeons, engineers, researchers, and production teams to ensure precision, safety, and quality.
- Design Review & Validation: Lead design reviews, integrate feedback, and support prototyping, testing, verification, and validation.
- Manufacturability & Cost Optimization: Refine designs for efficient manufacturing and cost-effectiveness without compromising safety or performance.
- File & Data Management: Maintain structured CAD and documentation systems to support traceability and collaboration.
- Client & Sales Support: Provide technical support to sales teams and communicate design solutions effectively with clients.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor product performance and implement improvements into future designs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science, or vocational training in a relevant field (e.g., CAD, mechanical design, biomedical technology).
- Proficient in CAD software and capable of creating and interpreting technical drawings.
- Good command of English.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn clinical and anatomical concepts related to craniofacial surgery.
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
- Responsible, structured, and logical approach to problem-solving.
Advantage Skills
- Background in orthognathic or craniomaxillofacial surgical planning.
- Experience with additive manufacturing / 3D printing.
