Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Design Engineer role based in Bengaluru. The Design Engineer will be responsible for creating and refining 3D models and 2D drawings to support reverse engineering, re-engineering, and as-built documentation projects. Typical tasks include interpreting client requirements and engineering specifications, developing concept and detailed designs, and preparing CAD models for manufacturing, validation, and inspection. The role involves collaborating closely with project managers, measurement specialists, and other engineers to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and adherence to industry standards. The Design Engineer will also review designs for manufacturability, participate in design reviews, support troubleshooting during implementation, and contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and templates.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in core engineering disciplines, including Design Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and workflows for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
- Experience or exposure to Product Design, including concept development and detailing for manufacturing.
- Understanding of Electrical Engineering principles is an advantage for multidisciplinary projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and engineering specifications.
- Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to work with precision data from 3D scanning.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional and on-site project teams.
- Prior experience in any of the company’s focus sectors (e.g., aerospace, automotive, heavy engineering, architecture and construction) is a plus.
