Role Description The Design Engineer will work full time on-site in Sulur, contributing to the design and development of mechanical and electrical components and systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and modifying CAD models and drawings, collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine product concepts, and ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and compliance requirements. The role involves analyzing design specifications, conducting basic engineering calculations, and supporting prototype development and testing. The Design Engineer will also participate in design reviews, document design changes, and coordinate with production and quality teams to ensure smooth transition from design to manufacturing.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Design Engineering and Product Design for developing and improving components and systems.
- Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering expertise to support structural analysis, material selection, and manufacturing feasibility.
- Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills to create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings.
- Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering knowledge for integrating electrical elements into product designs where required.
- Candidates should possess problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to interpret engineering standards and specifications.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with engineering, production, and HR stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline is preferred.
- Experience with common CAD software (such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools) and familiarity with product development lifecycles will be beneficial.
