Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Design Engineer role based in Jaipur. The Design Engineer will design and detail industrial racking and warehouse storage systems, including heavy-duty racks, mezzanines, and multi-tier structures, in line with client requirements and industry standards. Daily tasks include interpreting client specifications, preparing layout drawings , performing basic engineering calculations, and optimizing designs for load capacity, safety, and cost efficiency. The role involves creating and updating technical drawings, bills of materials, and documentation for manufacturing and installation teams. The Design Engineer will collaborate with sales, project, and installation teams, participate in site measurements and feasibility checks, and support troubleshooting or design changes during project execution.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Design Engineering and Product Design, with the ability to translate functional requirements into safe, efficient storage system solutions.
- Background in Mechanical Engineering, with knowledge of structural behavior, load calculations, and material selection for racking and mezzanine systems.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) for 2D layouts and 3D models; familiarity with drafting standards and detailing practices.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related engineering field.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, structural layouts, and client specifications accurately.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and spatial planning skills, with attention to safety and compliance standards.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and clients on-site.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple design assignments and deadlines.
- Prior experience in warehouse storage, material handling, or structural fabrication design is preferred but not mandatory.
