About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated RTL Design Engineer with 7-10 years of experience to join our dynamic team at HCLTech. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex digital logic for next-generation integrated circuits (ICs). Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-performance, power-efficient digital modules that meet rigorous specifications and industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and influence the future of digital hardware design. You will play an integral role in the entire development lifecycle, from RTL coding to verification and integration, ensuring the delivery of reliable and optimized digital solutions.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with a master's degree considered a plus. A minimum of 7-10 years of proven experience in RTL design for ASICs or SoCs is required. Candidates should have in-depth knowledge of digital design principles, including combinational logic, sequential logic, and finite state machines. Demonstrated ability to design and verify high-performance digital circuits is essential. Proficiency in Verilog or VHDL is mandatory, along with a strong understanding of coding styles and best practices. Experience with industry-standard simulation and verification tools such as ModelSim, Cadence Incisive, or Synopsys VC Formal is required. Familiarity with SDC (Standard Delay Format) for timing analysis and static timing closure is also necessary. Excellent problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and effective communication and collaboration abilities are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop RTL code for digital logic blocks and modules using Verilog or VHDL, ensuring adherence to design specifications and standards.
- Perform comprehensive functional verification using industry-standard methodologies such as UVM, creating testbenches and test scenarios to validate RTL designs.
- Conduct static timing analysis (STA) and participate in timing closure activities to meet performance and timing requirements.
- Integrate designed modules into larger subsystems, ensuring seamless functionality and interoperability across components.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-disciplinary teams including design, verification, and synthesis engineers throughout the development cycle.
- Write clear, concise, and well-documented RTL code, following coding standards and best practices to facilitate maintainability and review.
- Stay current with advancements in RTL design tools, methodologies, and industry trends to continuously improve design quality and efficiency.
