Role Description The Design Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Navi Mumbai. The Design Engineer will be responsible for developing and refining elevator product designs, preparing detailed engineering drawings, and creating specifications using CAD tools. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and electronic engineering teams to ensure designs meet safety, performance, and regulatory standards. The role also involves reviewing customer requirements, supporting customization of elevator solutions, and participating in design reviews and documentation. The Design Engineer will work closely with manufacturing and installation teams to facilitate smooth production and implementation of designed systems.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and Design Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to elevator systems.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating detailed 2D and 3D drawings and models.
- Working knowledge of Electrical Engineering concepts relevant to elevator design and integration.
- Experience in Product Design, including concept development, prototyping, and design optimization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Understanding of relevant safety standards, building codes, and industry regulations for elevator systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in design work.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information clearly.
- Experience in the elevator or vertical transportation industry is an advantage.
