Role Description
As a Design Engineer at Dynamic Engineers, you will be responsible for:
▸ Preparing detailed 2D and 3D design drawings for steel bridges, railway bridges, and structural steel components using AutoCAD.
▸ Analysing General Arrangement Drawings (GAD) and converting them into accurate fabrication drawings, including OWG (Open Web Girder) fabrication drawings.
▸ Developing cutting plans and bearing plates for material procurement and managing post-CNC cutting layouts using ProNest Software.
▸ Preparing and maintaining Launching Schemes for bridges, ensuring structural feasibility and construction sequence accuracy.
▸ Coordinating with Railways authorities for drawing submissions, review cycles, and incorporating revision corrections as per feedback.
▸ Maintaining systematic records of all drawing revisions and version control throughout the project lifecycle.
▸ Carrying out shop floor inspection of bridge components to verify dimensional accuracy and fabrication quality against approved drawings.
▸ Preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and finalising material procurement lists in coordination with the procurement team.
▸ Preparing DODL (Drawing-wise Outline Detail List) for all project deliverables.
▸ Collaborating with project managers, site engineers, and quality teams to ensure design intent is executed throughout fabrication.
▸ Staying updated with IRS (Indian Railway Standards), IS Codes, and relevant structural design guidelines applicable to railway bridge structures.
Qualifications & Requirements
▸ B.E. / B.Tech in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
▸ Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) is mandatory; experience with structural detailing tools is a plus.
▸ Hands-on experience with ProNest Software for CNC nesting and cutting optimization.
▸ Demonstrated experience in fabrication drawings for steel bridges, particularly OWG and railway bridge structures.
▸ Knowledge of Railway drawing standards, IRS codes, and coordination processes with Indian Railways.
▸ Ability to prepare accurate BOQ, DODL, and procurement documentation independently.
▸ Experience in shop floor quality inspection of structural steel components and bridge sub-assemblies.
▸ Strong coordination skills for managing multi-revision drawing cycles across engineering and client teams.
▸ Solid understanding of structural steel design principles, plate girder design, and connection detailing.
▸ Analytical mindset with keen attention to tolerances, fit-up, and constructability of steel structures.
▸ Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with Railways officials, project teams, and fabrication crew.
▸ Preferred: Experience in Tekla Structures, STAAD.Pro, or similar structural analysis/detailing software.
