About The Role
Calor Engineering, an Australia-based start-up, is looking for a Design Engineer to join our growing team in Ahmedabad. This role focuses on thermal and mechanical design of boilers, pressure vessels, and tank systems, with exposure to international standards and projects.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop 3D models and 2D fabrication drawings for boilers and pressure vessels
- Perform thermal and structural calculations in line with AS/NZS, BS, ASME, IBR standards
- Provide on-floor technical support to address and resolve design challenges during fabrication
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure on-time project delivery
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOMs) and support efficient design-to-production processes
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Experience in pressure vessels, boilers, or heavy industrial equipment
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Proficiency in P&ID (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams), fabrication and ability to interpret and develop drawings
- Experience with welding procedures (WPS) and weld design, including joint design, material selection, and fabrication standards
- Exposure to AS/NZS standards (preferred)
- Practical, detail-oriented, and hands-on approach
