Design Engineer / Senior Design Engineer – Automotive Components
Panchkula, Haryana, India | Permanent / Full-Time | Fully Onsite
Salary: INR 15,000-45,000 per month (based on the years of experience)
Our consulting client is looking for a Design Engineer / Senior Design Engineer with hands-on experience in automotive component design and product development. The ideal candidate will come from the automotive or related manufacturing industry and have practical experience working with gaskets, shims, washers and rubber moulded parts.
This position will focus on product design and R&D, with strong hands-on use of SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Candidates from unrelated industries such as medicine, garments or food are unlikely to be considered.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop automotive components including gaskets, shims, washers and rubber moulded parts
- Support product design and R&D activities
- Create and modify engineering drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Work on design improvements and product development requirements
- Coordinate with internal engineering and manufacturing teams
- Review technical drawings, dimensions and product specifications
- Support engineering activities from concept through production
- Contribute to new product development and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills / What You Bring
- 3–5 years of relevant experience
- Strong experience in product design
- Experience working within the automotive industry
- Hands-on experience with:
- Gaskets
- Shims
- Washers
- Rubber moulded parts
- Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Experience with R&D / product development
- Relevant technical certification as required by the client
- Ability to communicate in Hindi and English
- Candidates should ideally come from the same or a closely related automotive component manufacturing environment
