The Electrician assists the Superintendent, Foreman, or Leadman in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures for commercial and industrial projects. This role ensures safe, efficient, and code-compliant electrical installations while supporting the success of every project.

 

Key Responsibilities

•         Assemble, install, test, and repair electrical systems in commercial settings.
•         Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and electrical codes.
•         Diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently and safely.
•         Plan and execute installations from blueprints and specifications.
•         Mentor less experienced workers and support crew leadership.
•         Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and supervisors.
•         Manage materials responsibly to minimize waste.
•         Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.

 

Qualifications

•         4–6 years of commercial electrical experience required.
•         Current Journeyman’s License preferred.
•         Must be authorized to work in the United States.
•         Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
•         Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
•         Capable of handling multiple concurrent projects.
•         Passion for the trade and commitment to Design Electric’s mission and values.

 

Physical Requirements

•         Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, and bend throughout a work shift.
•         Capable of performing physical labor safely and efficiently in varying environments.
